Building Blocks recently received a prestigous award for colour design at the Resene Total Colour Awards in New Zealand, for the category “Product and Display”.
A temporary street activation/sculpture in collaboration with Fearns Studio and Jumboist, instigated by Jess Scully, for AMP Capital. May also be described as a gift from AMP to the public, to herald ‘Quay Quarter’, AMP’s vision for the future development of Circular Quay. Lymesmith designed the colour palette / patterns and executed the painting, ably assisted by Andy (Jumboist) Boddam-Whetham, who also contributed wonderful taped floor drawings for the daily installation.
Each day the blocks were assembled and then disassembled by a team of block wranglers, in time for lunch hour. Each morning, Jumbo and Bennet made beautiful tape drawings on the spaces in between …
