Expanded Architecture at The Rocks

An installation of paintings exploring the heritage colour palette of The Rocks.  The work explored the patina created through the cycles of care and neglect which most buildings undergo during their long lifespans.  The paradox of paint is that it becomes more beautiful as it breaks down, and at the same time, its primary function is to protect building fabric, and therefore to remain intact, an impermeable skin against decay.
