Lymesmith collaborated with Peter McGregor, of McGregor Westlake Architecture to design and document this 350 metre long concrete and enamel polychrome wall relief.
Lymesmith worked with MWA to develop the colour palette, the relief artwork, and documentation of the 83 unique pre-cast panels, including placement of the 10,000+ coloured enamel ‘cups’ embedded in the wall.
Ultimately, the sculpture wall is an urban, scaled painting in relief, combining light and colour in a constant interplay of form and pattern. Walking, waiting or driving by in a bus, the wall forms a continuous civic fabric defining the interchange landscape and giving it a memorable and legible identity. Peter McGregor, MWA
